Applied Mathematics (B.S.)/Computer Science (M.S.)

The Master of Science in Computer Science is designed to prepare you for a Ph.D. program or a research and development career in the computer science industry.

This degree program marries the natural pairing between math and computer science to add competitiveness in the job market and open employment possibilities. Accelerated master's students retain undergraduate status to continue undergraduate financial aid packages. However, eligibility to apply for graduate fellowships occurs during the fourth and fifth years.

Admission into the Accelerated Master's Program is the decision of the Department of Computer Science in consultation and collaboration with the Office of Graduate Admission. An application may be submitted after at least 60 credits hours have been applied to the B.S. in applied mathematics, one full-time semester at Illinois Tech has been completed, and graduation is one semester away.
