• Official Transcripts
  • Scan a copy of your official and original paper transcripts, individual mark sheets, or electronic transcript provided to you from your institution’s registrar
  • Do NOT upload your institution's web-based academic record or a document stating it is not an official transcript (except for current Illinois Tech students)
  • If the degree is completed, you MUST upload your original degree certificate or provisional certificate along with your academic transcripts or mark sheets

  • Submit a current resume that highlights your academic and professional experience
• Personal Statement
  • Provide a well-written statement that outlines your academic and professional goals
• Letters of Recommendation (May Be Required, Depending on Program/Department)
  • Requirements vary, but in most cases one letter is required fro master’s programs and two are required for Ph.D. programs
  • Letters should be from individuals who can assess your academic and/or career achievements and potential (e.g., professors, employers)
  • Letters must be submitted through the online Application Portal; you will input the recommender’s name and email address, and they will receive an electronic invitation. Note that recommenders will type their recommendation directly into the portal, not upload a document.

Complete your application via the . Provide all required information and documents before submission. Use the to monitor your status, and keep an eye on emails for updates.
