The Center for Learning Innovation hosted its inaugural symposium in 2023, shortly after the release of Chat GPT. The event, themed “Chat GPT and Other Emerging Technologies in the Classroom,” was a timely response to the profound impact Chat GPT had on educational institutions. It provided a platform for instructors to explore this disruptive technology, offering insights into measured responses, including the use of LLM detectors and AI-integrated assessments.
In the subsequent year, the symposium expanded its focus to encompass additional technologies that support instructional practices. The Center for Learning Innovation is proud to have established the symposium as a premier forum for discussing and exploring emerging technologies in education.
