Research Interests

The Mohamed Research Lab focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel functional porous materials, including Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Metal-Inorganic Frameworks (MIFs), Covalent-Organic Frameworks (COFs), and MOF-derived materials. Our research aims at custom designing these materials for various applications, such as gas separation and storage, precious element extraction, heterogeneous catalysis, and electrochemical applications. We integrate principles from chemistry, materials science, and engineering to address key challenges and drive technological innovations.
