Are you a long-time Bronzeville resident? Do you have a story about your experiences with Illinois Institute of Technology?

We are looking to capture—via audio recording and film—the personal stories of individuals of all ages who have lived on Â鶹APP’s South Side and have had direct experiences with Illinois Tech in Bronzeville since it opened its doors in 1893.

We will hold a series of sessions to begin gathering stories, and the first session will be held at the Bronzeville Historical Society.

These new short films are part of a broader initiative comprising an exhibition, website, and book produced by Ashley Lukasik of MurMur Ring and Southside filmmaker Carlos Javier Ortiz.
