Join us for “A Closer Look at the Million Dollar Sermon,” a PowerPoint presentation with accompanying live narration by the University Archivist and Campus Historian Mindy Pugh, anchored on documentary evidence about Reverend Frank Gunsaulus' sermon and the founding of the Armour Institute of Technology (and by extension, Illinois Tech). This presentation seeks to inform the current university community about what is known—and what might never be known—about the sermon whose impact is undoubted, but also merits further investigation. The presentation will take place at University Archives and Special Collections located in the Galvin Library (lower level) from 2–3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
