The Department of Food Science and Nutrition presents its spring 2025 seminar series featuring John James Staniszewski, a sustainable indoor vertical mushroom farmer and founder of Fungitarian Food and Lifestyle, who will give a presentation, titled “Can Mushrooms Impact Our Global Health Crisis?” This seminar will take place on Thursday, April 17, from 12:45–1:45 p.m. in room 111 (auditorium) in the Robert Pritzker Science Center.

Biography
John James Staniszewski is a sustainable indoor vertical mushroom farmer and founder of Fungitarian Food and Lifestyle. Staniszewski has more than 15 years of experience in the personal fitness and nutrition space and is considered the first mushroom wellness coach in the United States.
