Director Bowen Han’s film tells the story of Tianyi Wu, a 100-meter champion who returns to his hometown after failing to surpass long-time champion Chaoyue Hao. When he arrives, what he sees is unexpected: Chaoyue has given up on himself and abandoned his running career—and even goes as far as to try and profit from Tianyi’s running skills. Their competition extends from their memories to their current lives, eventually reaching a mutual forgiveness and mending each other’s heart.
