Illinois Tech Esports will be hosting a virtual reality (VR) esports event on Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at The McCormick Tribune Campus Center.

Events and panels will take place throughout the day, including: 

  • Games such as an escape room-type game (that will award its winner with a 17-inch LG laptop), a VR tennis tournament, and a Beat Saber Challenge will take place throughout the day, and Super Smash Brothers will be available to play
  • Illinois Tech Esports will be singing up students on the ugc.gg platform to join its Bronzeville Esports League
  • Panels about VR gaming and esports will take place throughout the day, and there will be a content creator’s corner
  • Companies from the gaming and VR industries will also be on hand
