This program brings together theory and application across the disciplines of business and psychology, providing students with the management acumen and the sophisticated understanding of human behavior and motivation that is needed to build and lead effective, healthy, and productive workplaces.
The Master of Management program focuses on broad-based business skills—innovation, leadership, decision making, marketing, finance, and operations—that prepare you for roles with management responsibilities that can accelerate your career progression in any industry or organization.
In the M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology program, you’ll learn how to apply the principles of psychology to the workplace and develop your skills and knowledge in change management, statistical research methods, training and development, performance management, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Enrolling in this dual-degree program reduces the total number of credits required by nine credit hours (three courses), compared to enrolling in the Master of Management and M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology programs separately.

The M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology degree is STEM-designated and international graduates of the program are eligible to apply for an extension for Optional Practical Training.

Program Overview
The Master of Management/M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology dual-degree program delivers powerful, complementary knowledge and skill sets that prepare students to effectively plan, implement, and lead workforce development and performance management in all types of businesses and organizations across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors.

The Master of Management/M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology dual-degree program requires completion of a minimum of 57 credit hours total (21 credit hours for Master of Management and 36 credit hours for M.S. in I-O Psychology). This total represents a reduction of nine shared credit hours, all from the Master of Management curriculum, compared with enrolling in the two degree programs separately.
