Transfer Scholarships
Transfer students are considered for scholarships that range from $14,000-$25,000 per year. No additional application is required for consideration. Students who submit an updated FAFSA to Illinois Tech will be considered for additional grants. Transfer students may also apply for the institutional scholarships below. If a student earns multiple Illinois Institute of Technology institutional scholarships throughout the admission process, the university will award the highest institutional award for which the student is qualified but will not combine multiple awards unless otherwise noted.$30,000 to up to full tuition per year
The Transfer Leadership Scholarship is an educational initiative that provides support to students at two-year institutions who go on to study within all fields of study at Illinois Tech. This scholarship cannot be stacked with any other Illinois Tech scholarship.
Up to $5,000/year
Active members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) are eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship (up to $5,000 per year) upon proof of PTK membership when applications are reviewed. The scholarship is awarded at the time of acceptance, and a notification appears on the applicant’s institutional scholarship letter. This scholarship can be stacked with other Illinois Tech scholarships.
Â鶹APP STAR Scholarship
Students participating in the Â鶹APP STAR program through the City Colleges of Â鶹APP with a 3.0 GPA or higher will receive a $25,000 per year tuition scholarship. This scholarship is a non-stackable scholarship.

Â鶹APP Police and Fire Departments Scholarship
In honor of those who serve the city of Â鶹APP, Illinois Tech offers $5,000 annual scholarships to the children and grandchildren of members of the Â鶹APP Police Department and Â鶹APP Fire Department. The Â鶹APP Police and Fire Departments Scholarship is also open to the children and grandchildren of members of the Â鶹APP Paramedic Department. This scholarship can be stacked with other Illinois Tech scholarships.

$25,000 Transfer Tuition Scholarship for College of DuPage Students
Illinois Tech will guarantee the offer of a special transfer scholarship of $25,000 (prorated for part-time students) to students who are successfully admitted to Illinois Tech through the Guaranteed Admission program. This scholarship will continue to automatically remain in effect each year until the student completes his or her undergraduate degree. The scholarship will be applied on a prorated basis for any summer term or in any semester the student enrolls at part-time status. Students must maintain minimum academic standards to continue receiving this award.
$25,000 Transfer Tuition Scholarship for CCC-Wright College Students
Illinois Tech will guarantee the offer of a special transfer scholarship of $25,000 per year (prorated for part-time students) to students who are successfully admitted to Illinois Tech through the guaranteed admission program for engineering or computer science. This scholarship will automatically remain in effect each year until the student completes their undergraduate degree. The scholarship will be applied on a prorated basis for any summer term or in any semester the student enrolls at part-time status. Students must maintain the minimum academic standards to continue receiving this award.
Transfer students may apply for the Illinois Tech Purpose scholarship.
The Illinois Tech Purpose scholarship offers high-achieving students from the state of Illinois financial support to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Illinois Tech. Awarded to students whose family adjusted gross income is $75,000 or less, this scholarship covers 100 percent of tuition and mandatory fees for up to four years of undergraduate study at Illinois Tech (five years for architecture majors).
Students must be a new transfer student under the age of 24 and:
- Apply by March 15
- Have a minimum 3.4 overall grade-point average
- Have earned no more than 61 credits at a previous institution
- Be pursuing their bachelor’s degree for the first time
