Depending on date of hire, up to two personal days each calendar year will be granted by the university. Personal days must have supervisory approval in advance of being taken. Unused personal days will be lost if not used by December 31st of any calendar year.

5.01

Eligibility - Full-Time Non-Union Employees
  • Two days (15 1/2 hours) are available each calendar year if the employee is hired before January 1 of that year.
  • One day (7.75 hours) is available if hired between January 1 and May 31.
     
  • Employees hired after May 31 receive no personal days until the next calendar year.

5.02

Eligibility - Part-Time Employees
  • An employee regularly scheduled at least 23.25 hours per week earns a pro-rated share of 15.50 hours with the same date-of-hire criteria described above for full-time employees. 

5.03

Eligibility-Union Employees
  • Union employees are governed by the applicable provisions of the appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
