The is a research group funded through the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute. Located at the Illinois Institute of Technology and directed by Patrick Corrigan and Lindsay Sheehan, CHDC is committed to reducing physical health disparities for racial and ethnic minorities with mental illness. M. A. and Lila Self Leadership Academy

National Consortium on Stigma and Empowerment
One of the greatest barriers to people in recovery is the stigma of mental illness. Personal empowerment is one of the best ways to overcome the stigma. The is a research group meant to promote recovery by understanding stigma and promoting empowerment. The consortium is located at Illinois Tech with a collection of researchers at Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers University, Temple University, the University of Wisconsin, Illinois State University, and the University of 鶹APP.
