Residence Halls

Nobody goes to college expecting to live in a mansion. But you may be surprised when you see the features and views of our campus residences.

Illinois Tech's Jeanne and John Rowe Village was named one of the "coolest dorms in the nation" by U.S. News & World Report and one of "10 College Dorms That Put Your Apartment to Shame" by HuffPost. And our George J. Kacek Hall was designed by legendary architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

College is about lasting friendships, and you'll find those in our residence halls. You'll also find your spaceā€”and room to be yourself. Quiet places when you need it, and places to kick back when it's time to unwind. Make instant friends just by walking down the hall. Have a late-night debate in the lounge. Round up a group for a pick-up game.

Most of all, have fun.

Tour Our Campus

Tours of campus housing are available. If you would like to visit a residence hall, please attend a campus tour led by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

ā€œI personally love Illinois Tech. It has suited me really well because it really aligns with what I want to get out of my school environment. I get to study a social science discipline in a tech school. I get to swim and be a student athlete. I get to be in an awesome city like Ā鶹APP. I get to live in an awesome dorm like State Street Village. I get to minor in architecture and explore my creativity. I get to occasionally meet really cool and smart colleagues, and I get to embrace being a nerd. Illinois Tech has absolutely worked for me.ā€
