Meet the Chapters

Greek Letter Organizations consist of individuals who bond together for life through common goals, values, rituals, and aspirations. Fraternities and sororities provide a built-in support system of friends and resources throughout members' time at Illinois Tech and after graduation. There are opportunities for philanthropy, service, leadership, scholarship, and social activities. Below you will find a list of chapters on Illinois Tech’s campus.

Alpha Epsilon Pi—Illinois Tech Founding: 2024

Alpha Epsilon Pi

The mission of Alpha Epsilon Pi is to provide education, resources and training to the future leaders of the world’s Jewish communities. This mission is demonstrated every day through acts of brotherhood, Tzedakah (charity), social awareness and support for Jewish communities and Israel.

Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded to provide opportunities for the Jewish college man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. At Illinois Tech, the Rho Lambda chapter has maintained the integrity of our purpose by strengthening our ties to the Jewish community and serving as a link between high school and career.

Alpha Psi Lambda Crest

The purpose of Alpha Psi Lambda is to create a community for the Latino students at Illinois Tech. As a national fraternity, and the largest and the first co-ed Latino fraternity, we pride ourselves on being an organization that fosters Familia, Culture, Â鶹APP, Service, and Leadership. The goal of this chapter is to bring these ideals to Illinois Tech, and create a diverse space inside of the university’s Fraternity and Sorority Life. Alpha Psi Lambda aims to serve all students no matter their background or gender. As a group Alpha Psi Lambda wants to help students build friendships and create a strong social experience in the Illinois Tech community. Our goal is to advocate for the needs and concerns of the Hispanic/Latino student body, as well as, foster positive relationships between other collegiate chapters. Our organization is inclusive of transfer and graduate students, therefore serving a largely overlooked community at Illinois Tech.

Alpha Sigma Phi—Illinois Tech Founding: 1939

Alpha Sigma Phi—Illinois Tech Founding: 1939

Alpha Sigma Phi is not interested in only becoming the fraternity of choice, for this perspective unnecessarily narrows our recruitment efforts to those inclined to go Greek. We instead, will be focused on appealing to a broader base of undergraduate men, thereby competing directly with other activities and organizations on today's campuses. By so doing, help to attract the very best and brightest undergraduate men.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia—VanderCook College of Music Founding: 1993

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia—VanderCook College of Music Founding: 1993

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia was born on October 6, 1898, at the New England Conservatory in Boston, when a group of thirteen young men under the guidance of Ossian Everett Mills met “to consider the social life of the young men students of that institution [and] to devise ways and means by which it might be improved.” Sinfonia became a national fraternity on October 6, 1900, with the admission of a group of men at the Broad Street Conservatory in Philadelphia. For over a century, Sinfonians in nearly every field of study and professional endeavor have transformed music in America. The opportunity of becoming a Sinfonian is offered to as many men as possible who, through a love for music, can assist in the fulfillment of the Fraternity’s Object and ideals either by adopting music as a profession or by working to advance the cause of music in America. Both VanderCook College of Music and Illinois Tech students are able to join.
