Researchers Aim to Treat Sleep Apnea with Drug, Not Machines

IIT Research Institute Director and President David McCormick is developing a drug to treat sleep apnea, a condition affecting 30 million Americans. The idea is that individuals with sleep apnea take a pill about 15 minutes before bed and get about six to seven good hours of sleep where they have very few, if any, apneas.
