Denim Day
April 30

Denim Day is celebrated on April 30 annually. It started in 1999 in response to an Italian judge who suggested that a woman cannot be raped if she is wearing jeans because they are impossible to remove unless she helps. We encourage you to wear denim on April 30 to support SAAM.

If you want more information, have questions, or want to pick up teal ribbons, we encourage you to contact the Office of Title IX Compliance directly at titleix@iit.edu or Title IX Coordinator Virginia Foster at foster@iit.edu. Together we can make Illinois Tech a place free from harassment and discrimination.
