The Spring Only 2025 housing application is closed online, but rooms are still available! To access housing for the Spring Only 2025 semester, students must sign the Spring Only 2025 housing contractual terms on paper. To begin this process, students should email housing@iit.edu to schedule an appointment for both a room consultation (to review current available inventory) and contract signing with the Office of Residence Life, located in the McCormick Student Village (MSV) building at 3241 S Wabash Ave, Â鶹APP, IL 60616. Please review the housing rates and rooming options before the appointment. All students living in Illinois Tech residence halls must have a minimum meal plan.
The 2025-2026 Academic Year housing application is coming soon. This application is for students looking to secure housing on the Illinois Tech campus for the whole academic year 2025-2026 (Fall 2025 and Spring 2026). Students will be able to request a Fall 2025 only contract modification by emailing housing@iit.edu once their complete their Academic Year 2025-2026 application.
When the 2025-2026 Academic Year housing application is released, students may either search Housing System in the or may click for a direct link. Students must log in to the StarRez Housing portal (with the Student SSO option) using your Illinois Tech username and password. Please note that the 2025-2026 Academic Year housing application does require a $600 prepayment that is nonrefundable should a student choose to cancel. This is not a fee, this goes directly toward paying your total housing cost.
Please note that Illinois Tech is currently at high occupancy, all room types are subject to availability, and student preferences will be met whenever possible, but not guaranteed.

Important Housing Dates
December 9, 2024 to January 5, 2025 - Cancellation charge of $600 applies to Spring Only 2025 contract cancellations, prepayment nonrefundable.
December 28, 2024 - Spring 2025 students who applied for and were granted an Early Arrival may begin to move into housing for the Spring 2025 semester at the cost of $45 per day. Students may be directed to temporary housing pending the immediate availability of their Spring 2025 housing upon early arrivals.
January 6, 2025 - Spring 2025 housing contract begins. Students may move in beginning this day at no additional cost.
January 6, 2025 to March 5, 2025 - Cancellation charge of $1200 applies to Spring Only 2025 contract cancellations, prepayment nonrefundable. Daily prorated % of room and weekly prorated % of meal plan contract by date of room vacancy applies.
January 8, 2025 - Spring 2025 meal plans begin in Commons. Breakfast 7:30AM-9:30AM, lunch 11AM-2PM, dinner 4:30PM-7PM.
January 24, 2025 - Last date to downgrade Spring 2025 meal plans by emailing a request for an eligible meal plan to housing@iit.edu. All account changes must be received via written (email) request. Students can always increase their meal plans throughout the semester.
March 5 to May 11, 2025 - 100% of room and meal plan cost charged to account.
March 17 to March 22, 2025 - Spring Break. Students may stay on campus for Spring Break. Meal availability may change due to break, check Commons .
Students graduating in Spring 2025 / Students requesting Late Departures
Students graduating in Spring 2025 may request to stay in their residence hall rooms until May 18, 2025 at noon (to allow them to participate in degree conferral) at no additional charge by completing a . Students not transitioning to a summer residence hall assignment for Summer 2025 may also request a late departure by completing a . Please note that for students who do not have a Summer 2025 housing contract and wish to stay in their room beyond the end of the Spring 2025 housing contract date (05/11/2025 at noon), or students who are graduating and wish to stay in their room past the graduation departure date (05/18/2025 at noon) there will be a $45 per day charge. Student may be asked to move to a temporary room depending on the length of stay requested, and requests spanning beyond 05/25/205 may not be approved, subject to availability. The submission date for late departure requests is May 02, 2025 (05/02/2025).
