Living on Campus?
First-year students can choose between living in Cunningham Hall and George J. Kacek Hall. Transfer students have options to just about all residence halls, depending on their standing year of transfer.
Housing Registration
- Priority housing selection deadline (for enrollment deposited by March 15 and housing application by April 8): April 15 – April 21, 2024
- Regular housing selection begins: April 24, 2024
- New first-year students housing contract deadline: June 1, 2024
- New transfer housing contract deadline: August 1, 2024
Note:
- Incoming transfer students will need to pay the $600 pre-payment fee for housing.
- Incoming first-year students will be exempt from paying a housing pre-payment fee when submitting a housing application.

Roommate Groups
Priority time slot assignment period for established roommate groups: Begin April 15, 2024
Priority time slots are assigned using randomized lottery within class group (all third year and above have the same chance for first slot, followed by second year, then first year with early deposit, and finally first year with regular deposit).
Regular application time slots assignment for roommate groups begins: Begin April 22, 2024
Regular application time slots are open on a rolling basis for those not part of the priority group including ungrouped students from priority application submission period.
Process
- Read the housing contract thoroughly
- Complete the housing application,
- Pay the pre-payment if applicable
- Find/make a roommate group for earliest time slot opportunity.
Commuting?
New first-year students who are living with a parent/guardian at a residential address within a 20-mile commuting distance from Mies Campus are eligible to commute to campus. If you live outside the 20-mile radius, you must submit a housing waiver.
